Job Description

Life Creative Group provides custom web application development services along with creative design and internet marketing services. Our technical focus is web application development in PHP. Currently we are developing a leading edge web application suite including; CMS, user management, community portal, e-commerce, analytics and development framework.

We also support clients who need ASP/.NET, Java and ColdFusion development by managing outsourced solutions providers. While we do not have traditional IT/systems integration staff in house, we on occasion need to source these services to support application development. The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing all these activities.

Typical Tasks:

  • Manage in house technical staff
  • Assist in coding and application testing
  • Manage contract and outsourced PHP developers
  • Manage CMS, e-commerce and other in house application development
  • Oversee custom application development for clients
  • Identify technical requirements, e.g. hosting and systems integration, generate RFPs and manage solutions vendors
  • Source and manage vendors for ASP, Java and ColdFusion development when needed
  • Oversee internal IT system

Skills

Successful candidates must have a strong background in object oriented programming theory and large scale applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing technical teams
  • Experience programming in PHP 5
  • Experience with advanced application development
  • Excels at building highly reusable code following proper programming theory and best practices
  • Solid oral and written communication skills / ability to communicate with clients and staff
  • Detail oriented and well organized
