Entry Level Web Designer

Growing interactive agency is seeking full time entry level web & graphic designer. Recent college and design school graduates and self taught designers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Position will include graphic design for web sites, multimedia, and possibly some print media. You will be responsible for development of visual concepts and designs that reflect our client's business and target audience.

Typical tasks include:

  • Creation of vector and raster graphics for web, multimedia and print
  • Creation of original visual/multimedia concepts
  • Image manipulation / clean up
  • Production design

Skills

This is an entry level position, training will be provided. However, successful candidate should have a good eye for style, color, typography, and overall design.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with web graphics and design
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or Macromedia Fireworks and Freehand
  • Solid oral communication skills / ability to communicate with clients, vendors, partners, and staff
  • Ability to collaborate with a team or work autonomously
  • Thoroughness and highly detail minded

Bonus Skills:

  • Macromedia Flash
  • Print design with print pre-press experience
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, CGI, ASP, etc.
  • Marketing strategy experience

Compensation

This is a full time salaried position with a target of $25,000 to $35,000/yr based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, qualified retirement plan, paid personal days and holidays, a fun and challenging work environment and more.
